hello sweeties
holidays are over ...
short but sweet. the next ones are months away..but takayama was a place to behold. it has its own japanese version of the ballenberg, the
hida no sato, a folk museum filled with traditional houses and some people who specialise in the old school crafts. absolutely wonderful. these houses are called gassho houses and have huge thatched roofs. was only there for one day and it was gorgeous, as you can see. it is known as japan's most beautiful town.
downtown takayama looks a little different but still has a charm that i haven't seen anywhere else in this country so far. bout a 2 hour drive from here. fantastic! other than that, back to work, which is good, except the magager doesn't like me all that much. don't know why, either. but otherwise just grand. those kids are cute as, some classes are superfun, some you have to fight for consciousness but all in all, this is one thing i can recommend to anyone. come to japan, kids! unfortunately, little time to write more. trie to get the net at home, but so far my efforts have been fruitless. tiny little grapes, shrivelled on the vine in this friggin heat. love to the world!
