Happy New Year Everybody!!
last post of 2005. may all your wishes you actually thought through come true! i'm pretty much wishlessly happy right now, so i can't complain.
got home late last night from nagano, or more precicely: hakuba 47, one of the ski slopes of the nagano winter olympics not too long ago. we got 40 cms of powder when we got there and the first thing tim had to do is drag me onto the black, totally powdery slope...for the first time in almost 9 years...it really has been that long since i ventured down mt. kosziousku or whatever it's called in my first year in oz. now, i can say that it's kinda like riding a bike, but unfortunately, i was never good at either riding bikes or skiing..but it was fun nonetheless. fell over countless times in the powder so eventually had to be content with the normal slopes that mere mortals ski on..oh well. in retrospect, despite the pain, sore muscles, uncomfy ski boots, lack of sleep and freezing coldness, 600 bucks for 2 days and clouds for most of the time it was good fun! kiwi-benn and ami (yankee)-tim are good blokes, who like a cold beer, a good yarn and some fun, and it was the first time we hung out properly..looks like i made some more buddies!
